The honest position

Making physical goods uses energy and materials. Our aim is not to claim neutrality but to make things that last and can be repaired, and to be specific about what we cannot yet fix.

What we do

• 92% of components are individually replaceable.
• We completed 1,412 repairs in 2025, up from 890 in 2024.
• All packaging is plastic-free and curbside recyclable.
• Every parcel ships carbon-offset; the cost is in the shipping price, not a checkbox at checkout.
• Our stoneware is fired in a kiln running on a renewable tariff.

What we have not solved

• Our leather comes from a by-product stream we can trace but not yet fully audit past the tannery.
• International air freight accounts for 31% of our shipping emissions. We are testing sea freight consolidation for EU orders.
• We still use a small amount of virgin plastic in the kettle handle assembly.
